NTRA announced Tuesday that the 55th annual Eclipse Awards will return to The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida for the fourth consecutive year. The ceremony honoring racing’s elite human and equine champions is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026.
“We are ecstatic to return to The Breakers Palm Beach for our fourth year in a row,” said NTRA President and CEO Tom Rooney. “Celebrating the success of racing’s human and equine champions is the highlight of the year, and The Breakers continues to be the perfect venue to bring the industry together to showcase the best our sport has to offer.”
The prestigious event follows the 2025 ceremony where Thorpedo Anna claimed Horse of the Year honors.
Voting for the Eclipse Awards takes place at the end of the calendar year through a collaborative process involving the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Daily Racing Form (DRF), the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB), and Equibase field personnel.
The Eclipse Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement in North American thoroughbred racing, recognizing excellence across multiple categories including Horse of the Year, divisional champions, and outstanding human contributions to the sport.
The Breakers Palm Beach, known for its historic elegance and world-class amenities, has established itself as the premier venue for the industry’s most significant annual awards ceremony.
