AmWager will offer zero percent takeout on the GI Preakness Stakes, the advanced deposit wagering company announced Friday.
The promotion allows customers who opt in and bet the Preakness Win pool to receive payouts calculated without the standard takeout percentage.
For example, when Seize the Grey (Arrogate) won the 2024 edition of the race and paid $21.60 for a $2 bet, the same wager would pay $26.35 under this year’s zero takeout promotion.
AmWager customers will initially receive the standard tote payout once the Preakness results become official. They will then be awarded a bonus equivalent to the difference between the standard payout and the zero takeout calculation.
The zero takeout bonus will be distributed Sunday morning following the race and is capped at $200 per customer. Participation requires customers to opt in to be eligible for the enhanced payout structure.
This promotion represents a significant value opportunity for horseplayers looking to maximize potential returns on the second jewel of the Triple Crown.
Full details about the promotion are available on the AmWager website.
