Central Kentucky Riding for Hope will host its 22nd annual “Night of the Stars” fundraiser on Saturday, June 21, at the Fasig-Tipton sales complex in Lexington.
The organization expects approximately 500 attendees for the tropical-themed event, which will feature dinner, drinks, silent and live auctions, and riding demonstrations.
The live auction will follow a Thoroughbred auction format, with highest bidders earning sponsorships of CKRH participants and equine partners.
Bidding is already open for both silent and live auctions. Notable auction items include a meet-and-greet with Racing Hall of Famer Zenyatta at Lane’s End Farm. The legendary mare won 19 consecutive races and earned $7.3 million during her career.
Art enthusiasts can bid on a Lisa Palombo painting of Horse of the Year Cody’s Wish, with proceeds beyond the reserve benefiting both CKRH and Angels Without Wings for the Cody’s Wish Monument planned for the Kentucky Horse Park.
Bourbon collectors will find several offerings, including a complete set of eight Blanton’s Original Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey bottles featuring stoppers that display each stride of a racehorse in motion.
Organizers suggest tropical attire for guests. The evening will include island-inspired décor and appetizers, signature cocktails, live music, pony meet-and-greets, and inspiring riding demonstrations.
