
Applications for 2026 Irish National Stud Scholarship Now Open
The Gerry Dilger Equine Foundation has opened applications for its prestigious 2026 Irish National Stud Scholarship program, targeting experienced professionals in Kentucky’s thoroughbred industry.
Eligible candidates must either be currently employed at a Kentucky horse farm with multiple years of experience, enrolled as a 2025 KEMI spring intern, or have completed the program in fall 2024. All applicants must be U.S. residents.
While a bachelor’s degree in equine science is preferred, it is not mandatory for consideration. The application deadline is July 1, 2025.
The comprehensive scholarship package covers tuition at the renowned Irish National Stud in Kildare, Ireland, along with airfare, room and board. Recipients will also receive travel and medical insurance coverage during their time abroad.
