Fasig-Tipton has announced a one-hour delay to Monday’s opening session of the Kentucky October Yearlings Sale due to inclement weather in the Lexington area.
The first session will now begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, instead of the originally scheduled 10 a.m. start time.
Subsequent sessions scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday will maintain their original 10 a.m. start times, according to sale officials.
The weather-related adjustment comes as the prestigious auction prepares to showcase its annual October yearling offerings to prospective buyers from across the racing industry.
The Kentucky October Yearlings Sale represents one of the final major yearling auctions of the season, providing buyers with opportunities to acquire racing prospects before the conclusion of the 2025 sales calendar.
Fasig-Tipton, one of North America’s oldest Thoroughbred auction companies, continues to monitor weather conditions as the sale approaches.
Buyers, consignors and attendees are advised to plan accordingly for the adjusted Monday schedule while maintaining original timing for the remainder of the week.
