Five to be Inducted into Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame Friday
Remington Park will honor five new inductees to the Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame during a special ceremony Friday night, officials announced. The induction will take place throughout the evening’s live racing card, which begins at 6 p.m. CT.
The Dec. 5 ceremonies will showcase both equine and human contributors to Oklahoma’s racing legacy.
Oklahoma-bred millionaire and multiple graded stakes winner Silver Goblin (Silver Ghost) leads the equine honorees. The celebrated racehorse will be the first inductee recognized during the evening’s proceedings.
The human inductees include prominent owners and breeders Kris and John Richter of the Richter Family Trust and Clark Brewster, along with veteran track announcer Jim Byers.
The induction ceremonies will culminate with the recognition of Senor Buscador (Mineshaft), whose remarkable journey from his career debut at Remington Park led to multiple graded stakes victories — highlighted by his triumph in the $20-million G1 Saudi Cup in 2024.
Each inductee will be honored at different points throughout the racing program, giving attendees the opportunity to celebrate these significant contributions to Oklahoma’s rich horse racing tradition.
The Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame recognizes exceptional achievements from horses, owners, trainers, jockeys and racing officials who have made lasting impacts on the state’s racing industry.
