Aqueduct will host the debut of Three Chimneys homebred OTTINHO (Quality Road) in Wednesday’s fifth race after his original unveiling was postponed due to last week’s wind-related card cancellation.
The 2-year-old bay colt, priced at 5-2 on the morning line, carries significant pedigree interest as a son of Quiet Giant (Giant’s Causeway), who produced Hall of Famer Gun Runner. Trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Flavien Prat, Ottinho enters with a solid work pattern and shares his female family with Funtastic and multiple graded stakes winner Lull.
Brown will also saddle rail-drawn UP YONDER (Curlin), a $500,000 Keeneland September purchase. The full-brother to graded stakes-placed Urban comes from a distinguished maternal line that includes champion 3-year-old filly Abel Tasman.
St Elias homebred ENFORCED AGENDA (Liam’s Map) represents trainer George Weaver in the one-mile maiden special weight. The colt is the first foal from Heart of Hope (Tapit), whose family includes multiple Grade 1 winner Clairiere.
BALTIMORE (Quality Road), a $550,000 Keeneland September acquisition, will race for owner Al Gold and trainer Chad Summers. His dam, Canadian multiple stakes winner Win The War (War Front), is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Dixie City.
At Churchill Downs, Wednesday’s tenth race features the debut of WALL STREET (Into Mischief) for trainer Brad Cox. The full-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner Patch Adams comes from a family that includes Grade 1 winner American Patriot and multiple Grade 1 winner Cyberknife.
THREE CHIMNEYS homebred EXHIBITION (Munnings) will represent Steve Asmussen after transferring from New York to Kentucky. The colt is out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Twirling Candy and recently fired a bullet workout.
MOB (Gun Runner), a $560,000 Keeneland September graduate, also debuts in the 6½-furlong maiden special weight. His dam is a full-sister to Grade 1 winner Callback, and his extended family includes Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver.
At Del Mar, Wednesday’s eighth race showcases several well-bred juvenile fillies, including $550,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga purchase NIMAH (Gun Runner) for trainer Bob Baffert. The half-sister to stakes-placed My Indy posted a bullet work on November 13 at Santa Anita.
MESMERIZE (Maclean’s Music), a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Soothsay, comes from the extended family of Triple Crown winner Justify. LERIOS (Into Mischief), owned and bred by Spendthrift Farm, is the first runner for Grade 1 winner Paris Lights.
