Immersive Readies for 2025 Debut

Churchill Downs announced Sunday that champion filly Immersive is set to make her 2025 debut in next Saturday’s Monomoy Girl Overnight Stakes following a four-furlong workout timed at :49.20 (23/53).

The undefeated Godolphin-owned daughter of Nyquist has been sidelined since winning the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies last year due to bone bruising.

“We’re looking forward to getting her started again,” trainer Brad Cox said. “She’s doing well since coming back to the string at Churchill and looks just as good as she did as a 2-year-old.”

Immersive completed her Sunday morning workout under exercise rider Joel Osorio with an opening quarter-mile in :25.40 and galloped out five furlongs in 1:01.80.

The champion 2-year-old filly returned to the work tab at Churchill Downs in early May and has posted six published workouts leading up to the Monomoy Girl.

Immersive’s perfect juvenile campaign included victories in the GI Spinaway Stakes and GI Darley Alcibiades Stakes prior to her Breeders’ Cup triumph.

Jockey Manny Franco, who has been aboard for all four of Immersive’s career starts, retains the mount for Saturday’s 1 1/16-mile contest. The pair will break from post position two in a field of six.

The Monomoy Girl Overnight Stakes is scheduled as the fifth of 11 races on Churchill Downs’ Saturday card.
