Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale Sees Into Mischief Colt Command $1 Million
Bloodstock agent Mahmud Mouni secured a colt by Into Mischief for $1 million Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, continuing his significant investment in juvenile prospects this season.
The seven-figure purchase (hip 334) represents Mouni’s ongoing acquisition strategy for a partnership of Libyan owners, who have been active players in the high-end juvenile market this spring.
Consigned by Kings Equine on behalf of breeder Spendthrift Farm, the colt demonstrated elite speed during the pre-sale workouts, posting a co-fastest :10 1/5 breeze for a furlong.
The million-dollar prospect boasts an impressive pedigree, being out of stakes winner Quick Flip (Speightstown) and standing as a half-brother to graded stakes winner Following Sea (Runhappy).
Tuesday proved particularly productive for Mouni, who also purchased two additional colts for $700,000 each during the session.
This acquisition follows Mouni’s previous seven-figure investments at last month’s OBS Spring sale, where he also selected premium offerings from the Kings Equine consignment.
The Midlantic Sale continues to attract significant investment from international buyers seeking elite racing prospects, with several other six-figure transactions highlighting the session’s strong market for quality juveniles.
