Delaware Park has canceled its live racing card scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, due to insufficient entries, track officials announced Friday.
The Delaware track plans to resume its regular racing schedule on Saturday, Aug. 30, with first post set for 12:45 p.m. ET.
This marks the latest in a series of cancellations affecting mid-Atlantic racing this season as tracks continue to face entry challenges amid a competitive regional racing calendar.
Delaware Park‘s current meet, which began in May, has generally maintained its three-day weekly racing schedule despite occasional cancellations throughout the summer months.
The track, known for hosting the Grade 2 Delaware Handicap and Grade 3 Delaware Oaks, will continue to evaluate its racing program on a week-by-week basis as the meet progresses toward its October conclusion.
