Keeneland announced Tuesday that Lush Lips (GB), winner of last month’s GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup S., commanded $3.7 million from Dixiana Farm during the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
The 3-year-old filly (Hip 129) was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, Agent CLXXXIX as a racing/broodmare prospect. She topped the session as the highest-priced offering of the day.
Lush Lips, by Ten Sovereigns (Ire) out of Lamyaa (GB) (by Arcano {Ire}), has been campaigned in partnership by Medallion Racing, Parkland Thoroughbreds, Hoffman Thoroughbreds, LLC, Mrs. Paul Shanahan and Mrs. M. V. Magnier. Brendan Walsh has trained the filly throughout her racing career.
The Grade 1 winner was originally purchased as a yearling for £82,000 by Avenue Bloodstock, Medallion Racing, and Donnacha O’Brien at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale in 2023.
Her recent victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland significantly boosted her value as both a racing and breeding prospect, contributing to her seven-figure price tag.
Keeneland Sales shared footage of the transaction on social media, highlighting the filly’s presence in the sales ring.
