Godolphin announced Monday that nominations for the 2025 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards in North America are now being accepted through midnight Monday, July 14.
The awards, celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, recognize the essential industry employees who keep the sport running. Equivalent honors are presented in Ireland, Australia, Great Britain, and France.
Cash prizes totaling $124,000 will be distributed among winners and finalists across seven categories, with additional monetary awards for runners-up.
The seven award categories include the Dr. J. David “Doc” Richardson Community Award; Katherine McKee Administration Award; Dedication to Breeding Award; Dedication to Racing Award; Newcomer Award; Support Services Award; and Managerial Award.
Kentucky Downs/KHBPA has joined as the Travel Sponsor for this year’s program. Their support will help cover transportation and accommodation costs for finalists traveling to Kentucky in October for the ceremony.
“It’s hard to believe that we are in the 10th year of these wonderful awards,” said Katie LaMonica, charities manager of Godolphin USA. “We are so thankful to the entire Thoroughbred industry who have graciously embraced the TIEAs since day one and have been so helpful in recognizing our hardworking industry employees. Please make sure to help us celebrate ‘Ten Years of TIEA’ and nominate today!”
Godolphin serves as the principal sponsor in association with The Jockey Club, the National Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, and the Breeders’ Cup for the American program.
