Not This Time Colt Sells for $1.7M at KEESEP Day 2

A colt by Not This Time commanded $1.7 million during Tuesday’s second session of the Keeneland September Sale in Lexington.

Agent Pedro Lanz secured the high-profile yearling early in the day’s proceedings. The colt, cataloged as Hip 211, is out of Wembley (Bernardini) and was consigned by Taylor Made Sales.

The April 15 foal is a grandson of Grade I winner Game Face (Menifee) and was bred by Albaugh Grand Stables.

The seven-figure transaction highlighted continued strong demand for premium bloodstock at North America’s premier yearling auction.

Tuesday’s session followed an opening day that established solid market fundamentals for the two-week sale, which continues through September 22.

The Not This Time sire line has gained significant commercial appeal in recent seasons, with his progeny regularly commanding premium prices at major auctions.

Complete results and additional highlights from the second session will be available in tomorrow’s coverage.
