Not This Time’s Final Score Graduates at Second Asking at Saratoga

Repole Stable‘s Final Score captured his first victory Saturday at Saratoga, winning a $100,000 maiden special weight on the turf by 1 3/4 lengths.

The 2-year-old son of Not This Time entered as the 9-5 favorite after finishing second in his July 13 debut at Saratoga in a sprint that was moved off the turf.

Stretching out to 1 1/16 miles on firm turf, Final Score seized the early lead and dictated the pace through fractions of :24.61, :50.88, and 1:16.61. When challenged in the stretch, the colt responded under urging to pull away convincingly at the wire. Heeere’s Johnny, by Oscar Performance, finished a distant second.

The Todd Pletcher trainee completed the distance in 1:45.48.

Final Score represents the second winner from three racing offspring produced by his dam Precious Dixie (by Bernardini). The mare has produced six male offspring in total, including a yearling by Good Magic and a 2025 foal by Cody’s Wish. Precious Dixie is scheduled to visit Muth for 2026.

The dam’s pedigree features notable talent — she’s a full-sister to Grade 1-placed Lady Kate. Her half-siblings include graded stakes-placed Princess Theorem (by Nyquist), multiple graded stakes-placed Prince of Arabia (by Mineshaft), and graded stakes-placed Bernard Shaw (by Into Mischief).

Final Score commanded $600,000 as a yearling at the 2024 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale. Bred in Kentucky by BG Stables, he now boasts a lifetime record of 2-1-1-0 with earnings of $75,000.
