Kentucky Downs announced Sunday that Street Beast captured his first stakes victory in the $1,000,000 Global Tote Juvenile Mile Stakes, dominating the field by seven lengths.
The even-money favorite, who had finished second in his Ellis Park debut on August 1 before winning an allowance race at Kentucky Downs just nine days ago, showed impressive tactical versatility in his stakes debut.
Street Beast broke well from the gate and settled comfortably off the pace during the early stages. The Street Sense colt patiently tracked the lone leader around the far turn before unleashing a powerful rally, drawing clear in the final furlong to win convincingly.
Awesome Connection finished second, three-quarters of a length ahead of Baytown Dreamer in third.
The winner, trained by Ben Colebrook for Midway Racing LLC, completed the one-mile turf course in 1:33.72 over firm ground with jockey Luan Machado aboard. The victory boosted Street Beast’s career earnings to $760,644 with a record of two wins and one second from three starts.
“WHAT A BEAST!!” FanDuel Racing posted on social media following the impressive performance, noting the colt’s quick 10-day turnaround between races.
Street Beast, who RNA’d for $90,000 at the 2024 Keeneland September Yearling Sale before selling for $85,000 at the 2025 OBS April Two-Year-Old Sale, is bred by Sunnybrook Stables LLC in Kentucky.
The colt boasts an impressive pedigree. His dam, Flower Party (Ire), was a Group stakes winner in Italy with earnings of $334,761. She descends from Grade/Group stakes winner Traverse City (Halo) and is a half-sister to stakes winner Birthday Party (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}).
Flower Party has produced a yearling colt by Corniche and a weanling colt by Nyquist. She was bred back to Charlatan for 2026.
The complete order of finish behind the top three included Swamp King, J J Grey, Thunder Zeus, Ciborio, Chalky White, and Duke of Suggins. Knoty Knicks was scratched from the race.
